Locker Essentials

Hey everyone! Tomorrow is my first day of school, so I decided to make up a "Locker Essentials" list of supplies to get you through the day.

1. Clean & Clear oil absorbing sheets

These sheets are life savers. I don't know about you, but during the school day, my face tends to get a little oily. Use one of these sheets between classes to dab off that extra shine for a fresh look all day.

2. Tide To Go Pen

If you happen to get anything on your outfit, just use this pen to remove the stain instantly. Keep it in your locker for those messy lunch emergencies.

3. Hair ties
No Slip Grip The Evolution Hair Ties 14 Pieces
During the day, your hair might stop curling or start curling if you have straight hair. This means it is very important to have some spare hair ties in your locker for those rainy days when frizz takes over. Use the hair ties to quickly pull your hair away from your face between classes.

4. Hand sanitizer
Pure Vanilla Anti-Bacterial Waterless Hand Gel with Fresh Source™ Technology - Anti-Bacterial - Bath & Body Works
I always use a squirt of hand sanitizer whenever I go to my locker to prevent germs and keep sickness away, which occurs often in such crowded places like high schools. Use it especially before lunch so that you aren't eating off of dirty hands. Try hand sanitizer in all different scents at Bath & Body Works.

5. Chapstick
True Shimmer Lip Balm, Tropical
During the winter, lips tend to get especially dry. Keep some Chapstick in your locker so that you don't take it home and forget about it. You will appreciate it being there. Try the True Shimmer chapstick to add some mid-day shine.

6. Mirror
Magnetic Locker Mirror
Put up a little magnetic mirror in your locker so that you can check your appearance throughout the day.

That's all for now. I hope that this helps clear away some back-to-school nerves. Have a great first day!

Back-to-School!

Hey everyone! I'm really sorry I haven't written in almost a month! As you all know, summer can either be a very lazy time of year or a very busy time of year. For me, the past month was extremely busy. I had two sleepaway camps (both of which did not allow electronics) and then I was on vacation with my cousins. I also had to read "The Bean Trees," which wouldn't have been my first choice of books, but it was alright. But all that is over now, so I can finally get back to the important stuff: you guys! So this article is about my first day of school outfit. Enjoy!

Top: PacSun, Belt: Delias, Jeans: Hollister, Flats: American Eagle, Necklace: American Eagle.

This outfit was based on the top. My favorite color is blue, and this beautiful muted turquoise top caught my attention. I loved the top, but it was a little shapeless, which is why I added the waist belt. The belt also dresses the top up a little bit. I then paired that with some dark wash skinny jeans and a mixed metal multi-strand necklace. Finally, I chose brown suede flats to offset the turquoise top and to keep the outfit nice but summery.

Comment below and tell me what you think!
